An Existing non-Ytel phone number, like the number to a wireless phone or a landline in your home or office, must be validated on your Ytel account before the account can be used to make calls or send out Text Messages.
We also allow verified phone numbers to be used as a caller ID on outbound calls. Below are the instructions for verifying a non-ytel number as a caller ID for outbound calls. The number can only be verified through the Dashboard.
- Login to your account at app.ytel.com
- Click on "Numbers"
- Click on "Number Verifications"
- Click on "Add New Number"
- Enter the Phone Number you wish to Verify along with the Verification Method (SMS or Call)
- Enter in the Verification Code you received
Congratulations you have successfully verified a non-Ytel number, which can now be used as a Caller ID for Outbound calls.
Verified numbers can be used as a Caller ID for outbound calls from Ytel, you will NOT be able to receive inbound calls to Ytel from the verified number. Incoming calls to verified numbers will continue to route through the existing service provider. If you would like incoming calls through Ytel, you may be able to forward your calls to a Ytel number or request the number to be ported over to Ytel. Contact Ytel Support for more details.
